About the Trainer
Dear Jessica,
After recently learning I am diabetes-free, I would like to thank you for your help, advice and encouragement. I told my endocrinologist Dr. Jeffrey M. Korff that along with the walking, I took a yoga class. During the class, you also shared your knowledge as a registered nurse and personal trainer. The class really helped strengthen my body up after some pretty strenuous times when the adrenal gland had to get its act back together. Different postures were modified and suggested so I could receive maximum benefit. I plan to continue yoga as long as I can.
So, thanks to Dr. Korff and you, I am so grateful for both of you helping me get back to a healthier, happier lifestyle.

"Several
years ago, when I was in my late 40s, I developed chronic
pain in my left hip. It was painful to sit, painful to
walk and the pain kept me awake at night. I saw my doctor,
who determined I wasn't suffering from any kind of illness,
and I was referred to physical therapy.
"That began a process that repeated itself for years.
I would attend physical therapy for several weeks, the
pain would subside, and 3 or 4 months later the pain would
return. I'd start physical therapy again and repeat the
process. At one point a physician's
assistant suggested I learn to live with it because it
wasn't unusual for people my age to have chronic pain!
"Over time, my physical activity diminished more
and more. Then last summer my husband and I took a walk
on the new bike path in Easthampton. After walking for
5 minutes I knew I was in trouble. We turned around and
by the time we reached our car, I was in such pain I could
barely stand.
"It was the next day, at a health fair in Easthampton,
that I met Jessica. She was standing at a table, explaining
to a group of women that she provided personal fitness
training to people in their homes. I was so excited! After
the women left, I stepped up and told Jessica about my
problem. I half expected her to tell me that I wasn't
a good candidate for fitness training, but her response
was exactly the opposite. That same day I set up my first
appointment with Jessica to get started.
"It was one of the best decisions I ever made. Jessica
started working with me on a stretching routine as well
as exercises to strengthen my core muscles. Nothing that
we did ever left me sore or aggravated my hip.
"I've been working with Jessica a year now. I'm dramatically
stronger, more limber, and I have virtually no hip pain.
On the rare occasions when it does bother me, I use the
stretching exercises that Jessica taught me and it clears
up immediately. I'm back to being physically active and
I am so much happier! I can't recommend Jessica highly
enough!"
